Elite Private Bartenders and Staffing’s secret party tips
We wanted to share our experiences to save time and money at your next party.
#1 - Where do I start?
Parties can be more work than fun for some hosts. Start by creating a list. You'll want to make sure you have:
Table or bar
Towels you don't care about
Soda water (2L)
Ginger ale (2L)
Sour mix (750ml)
Diet coke (2L)
Cranberry juice (gallon Jug)
Orange juice (gallon Jug)
Liquor and liqueurs

#2 - Build a theme around your own cocktails.
Have a Taylor's Punch (really a sex on the beach) and a Tom’s birthday margarita (Texas margarita). Maybe a chocolate martini party… If you are only buying liquor for those drinks, the savings will be tremendous. Remember, you’ll never be able to accommodate everyone’s drinking taste. Don’t worry; they’ll be happy it’s free! Add beer and wine, and you have a fun party nobody will miss.
#3- Alcohol and Event Insurance
Especially with larger parties, there's always a concern with your guests driving home. We have all experienced the "that guy" situation from those who have had a little too much to drink. When you have a common source of alcohol, it's difficult to monitor how many drinks people are actually consuming. If you have liquor out in the open (a bunch of liquor on a table) for consumption this risk goes even higher. Home owners insurance does not generally cover this level of alcohol consumption, and you certainly don't want to be liable as the party host. Of course, a reputable bartender service such as Elite Private Bartenders is fully insured, and will cover all of your guests should the unthinkable happen.
#4- Where do I buy the least expensive wine and beer and liquor?
The best place to get beer and wine is a large bulk discount store like Sams or Costco. They offer very reasonably priced beer and wine. There is not much margin for beer and wine at bulk stores. When it comes to liquor, it's tough to find discounts. If you are buying a lot of one type of alcohol, ask for a discount from your neighborhood liquor store. For example, if you are going to buy a case of Vodka, you should be able to get about 5-8% off retail. The best discount is on a military base because there are no taxes. It’s time to ask a favor from your closest military buddy.
#5- Hire a bartender service.
Don’t want to worry about any of these hassles? Hire a bartender service. This will provide a tremendous “piece of mind” on your special day.
A professional bartender service should provide:
Bartender Liquor Liability and General liability
Set up and cleanup of Bar Area
Consultation for beverage purchase, arrangements, and logistics
AN ORGANIZED STRUCTURE for payments and conference calls.
Bar equipment- Cork screws, shakers, etc…
Alcohol buy list. A great guide with ratio’s and estimated purchase quantities.
These basics will help you throw the best party ever! Remember, keep it simple and have fun!
